A Plus Awards was started in 1981 by Paul Horton, a retired school teacher, to fill a growing need in student recognition around the local area of Southwestern Idaho. After a few years, Paul was asked to re-enter the teaching profession and sold the shop to his brother, Neil Horton. Neil grew the business into a leading awards supplier in the area.

Janet Warnke was hired by Neil in 1994 and has been in the business for 12 years. In 2006 when Neil decided to retire, he sold the business to Janet and her husband Bill, who has been in the printing business for the last 22 years. Together, they have carried on the tradition of craftsmanship and quality in their products and outstanding customer service.
